" That truth did no come naked into this world, but it came in types and images. One will not receive truth in any other way... The bridegroom must enter through the image into the truth." .

Sufism. Is now mostly to be seen within the Muslim world, but it was not all ways as such. Nor does it even to this day behold Islam as the only way, but merely its cloak worn for shelter in its present environment. Sufism sees no distinction between the religions, but merely shadows to gain in roads to higher reasoning. As such major teachers have been Jews and it can be said the head Sufi of all is Christ. They chiefly employ stories to resonate deep into the unconscious mind to bring out many meanings on various levels upon seemingly contradictory events in their fables. But, they have been known to employ joy through dance, music, and clowning. The Christi tended to wander Spain and throughout Europe in the robes of Jester where some believe the profession comes from. The twin brother of the King is the fool. So they do not begin or end within the mystical traditions of Islam. They are the Merlin's of the British Isle, Cabalaists of Canna, or the Mel Brooks of Hollywood.
What Sufism does is teach people the path to the truth. They tend to use a primitive version of the Myers Brigg exam to evaluate the type a person who is seeking knowledge and the best way to bring about that students enlightenment. So their are many schools or methods to bring this about depending on the disposition and readiness of the student. One of the first things they do is try to teach people the need to understand how to learn. Then while they are doing this they need to hint at the fact that there is more to learn after that. There is a path for everyone and the trick is to find the right one for everyone. But they are limited to the fact that you may lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink

.

Jungian Archetypes.
Carl Gustav Jung was one of Freud's greatest students, who was called to give a speech at his eightieth birthday party in which he went on for an hour about how Freud had got everything wrong. In a world that was predominated with the scientific, Jung brought the world back to the realm of the ancient druids and shamans of the primitive world For in this world he had seen the imagery of the great cathedrals, and the signs and symbols of the worlds religion and myth arise from the same source deep within the unconscious mind. Through the analysis of dreams and the study of the ancients he was able to make correlation's between the two. The levels of mental activity are Consciousness, thoughts and actions controlled by the will; preconscious memories or skills that can be readily brought up for use; Personal unconsciousness, a vast reservoir of repressed feeling distant memories, or perceptions that move to the surface in form of dreams or flash recollections. Than deeper than all of them is the collective unconsciousness, is where the seat of the instinctive symbolism created by millennia's of human experience shaped into what we now know as our emotions and values. These take on the form of what he calls archetypes. In keeping the psyche happy he had called for the healthy balance of the two alpha and omega states of the mind. To keep mastery equating to sympathy or emotion to thought. By using symbols or word association he would have people focus on them until some hidden doorway opened for them and to continue to focus on them as more and more symbols unlock more doors that brought about an resolution to their dilemma's.
Fairy Tales and Myths.
As the Brothers Grimm traveled the world as translators of dead languages, they realized that stories from distant cultures kept coming up in others. They seemed to only change their clothes to fit the generation or culture that they were talking to. This has led Joseph Campbell to see that Star wars is the modern day translation of a story stemming back through the ages starting from before the Nibelungenlied, to Sigmund the Dragon Slayer, to King Arthur, to the Grail romances, to Wagner's Ring Cycle, and to the Lord of the Ring. This he called the hero cycle. There is also the fairy tales that express psychological development of children or the lack of it arising from suppressed trauma at particular ages. A woman in her book The Woman who runs with the wolf, She chronicles these stories and breaks them down into their archetypes. She shows how these images are expressed through the world and were brought to together as healing stories. As with Sufism, some times it is easier to address an issue if you take the subject out of its defensive nonobjective state and create a fairy tale character for them. Then those blockades and short fallings can be addressed without the person closing down into the realm of guilt and shame. In much the same way Christ talked through parables to those whose ears might of been closed to him otherwise. In Pinkola-Estes book, she takes the example of Blue Beard. The heroine of the tale is one of three daughters and two sons. Her father and brothers are taken away to fight the war when she was at an earlier age. Since the good example of healthy male personality is removed, she sees a man with a Blue beard and is attracted to him who her older sisters reject as repulsive because of the beard. They had lived with their father and brothers for many years before they went away. Even when rumor's of Blue Beards mysterious disappearances of his earlier wives hit this young girls ears she does not hear. So she marries him and is given the free run of his castle besides this one room whose key she must hang from her apron. Well when he leaves on business, guess what! She opens the door to find all of his past wives hanging from the walls. She runs out and tries to hide the key that began to bleed. No matter where she hides it, it is surely to be found by the pool of blood that gives it away. Now Pinkola-Estse says the room was the unconscious that knows the mistake we have made and the key is the fact that we can not deny it until we open the door a little wider and deal with the issues hanging from the walls. Now Blue Beard now comes home to find the room breached and now is after her to kill her. Now he takes on the shadow side of a persons personality that is the self destructive personality that tries to help and is always getting the person in trouble. If it is drinking under stress, over eating on a hard day, or pushing away those you love. It is the short term fixes that ask you to pay them pack at high interest. Treating the symptoms and not the disease. But she is not saved until her brothers come back from the war to meet their new in law that they hear her screams and put an end to Blue Beard. Which states it is never too late to have healthy influence brought into your life to bring about change.

Druids.
The men who would compile, the histories, the tales, the science; become the artists, the musicians, the herbalist, the doctors; and then consul the people, the stars, and the king.

Native Americans and Tribal Societies.

These are cultures that were dependent on teaching stories to explain their environments and their lives. Also they had highly developed rituals to go along with these stories to help you through the periods of your life. Most interesting were the rituals that they used during the coming of age ceremonies that marked the transition from childhood to an active participating member of the tribe. In these rituals there was a marked focus on self introspection to find your path and place in society. For the unruly, these rituals roped in those who would be harmful to the society. Sometimes these rituals would include physical and mental tests of endurance to mark a strong transition. Either sensory depravation or physical pain, the ego is shaken to bring about a death to the old states that are no longer useful or harmful to future growth. The child was to leave the world of the mother for that of the father. Either a man joined the hunt or the woman seek a man to replace their father in their life. It was a time for both to gain a trade or position. A time to become able to be independent of thought and action, along with the responsibilities it entailed. Also they had no compunction about removing leaders that seemed to be harmful or selfish. The tribes raised each other within a community throughout their lives.

Cabala.
Is the same as the food chain in environmental studies. It is a flow chart with basic principles that can be applied to anything. It is the understanding that a fully competent doctor can become an ace mechanic It is the same process from intake, to combustion, and out to the exhaust. In a simple description. It is a diagram with ten spheres called seriaphs divided into four triangles. Each triangle represents the letters of God, YHWH. The first triangle consists of a trinity. Kether is the original at the crown. Binah is to the left, it is the differentiated reflection. The introspection. Chokham is to the right and is the wisdom that knows the reflection is the same as the original. They are the source, the conserver, and destroyer. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva. This triangle is the original, the Y. The next one is inverted. This is the H, it is only a reflection of the first. W is a copy of the second, with the second H as a copy of a copy. Y is the place of the idea. H is that of planning. W is that of building. The second H is that of putting the idea to use. From God, to archangels, cherubs, and finishing with us in our world. These four are the systems and its parts are the organs. It brings everything down to a stem idea. It is reverse engineering at its best.

Gnostics.

Is the study of comparative religions stemming out of Zoriastorism into Platonics, Egyptian , Hindu, Judaic, Christian, and Muslim traditions. The Essene community during the time of Christ was in Gnostic thinking. Gnostic means self knowledge. They put influence on the fact that any one can access god on their own without an intermediary such as a priest. They have been the ones who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hamadi ones as well in Egypt. They are the mystics, Sufi, Essene, or Mason. It is the study of finding the civilized religion before the destruction of the Tower of Babel. In which languages and ideas became, well, babbled! The Gospels of Thomas, Mary, Barnabus, and James are examples of Gnostic Christian books. Here Christ is more portrayed as the way and not the idol or God. For in them he says that he and the stone are one. As well he is the son of God as well the son of man. No different then you! You just got to realize it for yourself!

Grail Stories.

Is stories stemming out of even older teaching stories that center around the Indo-European language. First being oral traditions that stretched from Lithuania to Ireland. These centered around the Hero Story. A tale used to lead youths into adulthood. From fool to hero. The first major work was the Nibelungenlied. This became the Volsung Saga with Siegfried the dragon slayer. Later years it would become the Ring Saga and then Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series in one branch. Another branch stemming out of the bardic oral stories of England was the Arthurian cycle. Around the Twelve Hundreds this branch was reinvented for the audiences of the day as the Romances of the Grail. Chriatien was the first major source from France that remained unfinished to be topped off by the German Eschebach. It was a time that the west was invading the east during the crusades as science, spices, literature, and religion was making an influx into Europe. It was colored by the Knights Templars' and read within the courts of Eleanor of Aquitaine. Eleanor being one of the major sponsors. These were stories about a youth who has to go through what he has been taught as a youth and realize which was the truth and which was harmful for his growth into an adult. He is to find his trade in society. Marry the right woman after meeting the wrong ones. Acquire rank and privilege. Gain compassion and to think for himself. To acquire Christ consciousness. These were stories for us to follow through our life. Just colored with the local flavoring of the time. In the twelve Hundreds the stories had to contain allot of pageants and jousting because that was cool then. In the seventies it was space ships and aliens as it was retold for our generation in Star Wars. Just another story from the Great Man.

Alchemy.

The precursor to our modern chemistry and distillation process. In another words, they invented alcohol! Have a McKewans on me, Aye! Newton was even one. But what is mostly ignored is the physical manifestation of their practice was secondary. As so many Kings were disappointed when they found out. For turning lead into Gold was only a metaphor. Yes they tried to turn it physically, but this was only used to illustrate the principles through Cabala how to turn the lead of your soul into Gold. This practice stretched from China to England. Their language was secretive. It was the language of birds. They lived in solitude to avoid hungry kings. Their art was highly symbolic for secrecy but also they knew that sometimes pictorial references sunk deeper into the mind without the tangles of words. Each chemical process they used had a corresponding emotional one to lead. They searched for the philosopher's stone. Some said the stone was an elixir for life, the way to gold, or the grail. But it was all of them, and none!

Shamanism.

Is the art of leading one out of an outdated reality into the next. It is bringing one out of the box. It is removing one from the old world and its restrictions. It is removing old demons that prevent growth. It is building the constructs needed for creating a new world for ones self. It is the dismantling of your psyche. It is the study of alter realities. It is the study of your potential. It is making your potentials realities. It is pruning the plant for new life. It is practice throughout the world where tribal societies still dominate over civilization. It holds a strong link to the natural and animal world, often mimicking them in its rituals. They are the ones that bring respect to the land so it still sustains us.

Comparative Mythology.
Started this century by the Brothers Brim as they traveled the world translating Sanskrit and other languages into German. They realized that the same tales were being told from country to country. Only the names changed, but not the story. Then Frazier came forth with his Golden Bough. In the Occult circles Madam Blatsky came out with her Isis Revealed. The major player of the last century was the Late Joseph Campbell. He researched everything from man's first burial and his worship in bear caves to modern authors recreating or inventing myths. He found myths more important than historical accuracy. Seeing the historical aspect getting in the way of the transformation principles. Tribal religions and their counter parts of civilization. He became the historian and mediator for a middle path in our lives. Much has been gained by many by his studies. He is the leading proponent of finding the lost one religion and the original that spawned it.

Intuition.

An art that is gained at birth and fostered by logic. An art soon lost if logic conflicts it. If a mother is stressful during pregnancy, it sends stress hormones and discomfort to the fetus. For survival upon birth the infant wants to be removed from what has caused it such stress. But is soon told by its logic that the source of its stress, is what is going to sustain its life. In pregnancies without stress, it is what tells the infant to search out for the nipple. It is what tells the sea turtles to book it for the ocean before the birds they never saw before eat them. It is the house kept chick on Easter ducking from Grandpa's shadow coming down the stairs, who never seen a hawk. It is our ability to find someone in town we have not seen in a week. The ability to know who is on the other side of the phone line. It is what tells us to pet this dog and run from the other. It is the knowledge gained from beyond ourselves. It is often confused with fear and repercussion, but it is never either one. It is listening to your voice. It is what tells you to trust, and when not to. It is what rings in your head when the truth is found.

25 Years.

I have spent the last fifteen years listening and reading from life. It all started when my friend Cindy needed someone in fifth grade to help her get through a break up and avoid getting into another abusive situation. This skill then was applied from friend to friend up to today. I listen, justify, bring comfort, reassure, deliver joy, correct where needed, and push you toward change. There is never any judgment. But only a need to contain the harm until change can happen. People over the years just have been gravitated towards me for compassion, friendship, and justification. The hard part they find is change I advise though, but all in your own time. My knowledge comes from life and having a job in my past that gave me lots and lots of time to read. From History, religion, mythology, psychology, popular movies and literature, art, music and dance I have experienced the many sides of humanity and listened to us about what it is. The good, the bad, and the ugly. My job is just to find the right semiotics to interpret what the Holy Spirit advises me to explain to you. It is a gift that resides out of myself as much as within. It is the removal of the self without fear of loosing it in the help of others. The way of the spiritual warrior of Scandinavia, the more you have to offer, the more you can give.
